The diagram below of how our dental system works
says it all, and this could apply similarly to any
SaaS product when created using our SyncTech
DualHybrid platform in conjunction with a
CloudPlus box.
The system software runs independently in the
cloud and on the local practice CloudPlus box but
using synchronised data. If the Internet between
them is down they both run seperately and re-sync
once the connection is back up.
The CloudPlus box manages all the connectivity
elements of the system as it’s local, so you don’t
compromise functionality as with typical pure-
cloud software.
Security is paramount and the dual closed system
approach means much less chance of successful
attacks from hackers and Ransomware.
Users can of course work remotely using any
authorised device 24/7 for domiciliary care (out in
the field), general admin’ or any remote activity; it’s
always available - with up-to-date live data.
Connectivity…
to other hardware is easy as
the local CloudPlus box takes
care of everything. Why go
backwards with cloud-only?

Security…
is key when handling data
and CloudPlus’s encryption
system is so tight it squeaks
and mitigates Ransomware
attack success
24/7… UpTime
is virtually guaranteed with
a local CloudPlus box and
SyncTech developed
software
SyncTech’s innovative
technology is a
world-first in more
ways than you can
imagine…
Three key reasons why it’s the only
choice for SaaS development
The CloudPlus box is full of innovative technology
including TWO processors; number 1 manages the
main software and number 2 runs security
processes and connectivity to other local
hardware.
The two CPUs have separate power supplies and
the connectivity one can cleverly move over to be
powered by the other supply if its own fails so you
still have full functionality.
If number 1’s power fails you can still work from the
cloud in combination with number 2 - again with
full functionality.
There are five drives in a CloudPlus box. These
drives are all monitored and ‘hot-swap’ which
means if one fails we can send out a new one for
easy replacement and you don’t even have to turn
the system off.
•
Three replicate the main software, all
synchronised copies, to make sure you always
have your system available and that in turn is
synchronised to the cloud platform.
•
Two are synchronised copies of your general
non-core data such as documents, scans, X-
Rays etc. These can also backed up to the
cloud space.
The security of data is paramount.
•
All the drives in your CloudPlus box are
encrypted and cannot be read if removed from
the system
•
The CloudPlus box will only work on-site as it
needs connectivity to the Wysdom secure
management system to function and this knows
the authorised location
•
Access to the sytem - local and cloud - is
only by authorised device
•
The SyncTech platform is also highly secure
as every precaution has been taken in system
development to reduce potential vulnerabilities.
It does not use any Microsoft products -
development tools or Db - which are the
preferred target of the Ransomware and hacking
fraternity
At the same time all systems are targets in
today’s mad world so having the system in the
Cloud and locally in the practice means the
chances of being down completely are
substantially mitigated and Wysdom will
continue to improve and enhance security
whenever possible.
The SyncTech platform can have the dental-
specific elements removed, leaving the core
functionality as mini-apps that can then be
adapted to a particular vertical sector
requirement.
The underlying Platform will include all the
complex synchronisation required and make full
use of the unique features such as security and
connectivity.
Developers can then create the custom elements
as required to take your legacy software to new
heights.
This will significantly accelerate the development
cycle for software providers and be particularly
appealing to those still concerned about moving
to pure cloud, where they lose the functionality
of local desktop software.
If their end-users need virtually guaranteed 24/7
up-time and need to retain all the other benefits
of desktop systems, SyncTech is the only viable
answer.
