Wysdom has been around since 1988 and was one of the first companies to offer a dental Practice Management System in the UK. It has been working with dentists ever since and expanding its range of services more seriously since the current owners - Glenn & Jo Wynsor - took over in 2016.
Wysdom is available for all four regions of the UK for private, NHS and mixed practices.
Yes you certainly can. Just call the office and we'll take some details and register you for access to a demo system where you can see for yourself its great functionality.

The saying is 'a picture speaks a thousand words...' and that's true in most contexts but dental charts in particular can be a nightmare if you need to show anything complicated. The Wysdom icons make it easy and much, much quicker to enter and understand dental information in our charts. Can you chart a bridge in three or four clicks with your current software?
Like every other software supplier looking to update we considered a move to ‘the Cloud’ but were very aware of the issues that come with it such as the dependency on broadband connectivity and the difficulty in linking to X-Ray systems, merchant terminals and printers. We did not want our users to go backwards in terms of access and functionality in the name of modernisation so decided we needed to find a way to give customers the best of both worlds.
The Wysdom Practice Management System CloudPlus is available in all four regions of the UK for NHS or mixed practices. We plan to expand its use outside the UK as it has been designed for multiple language formats, currency etc. but that will take a little more time. If you would like to use CloudPlus outside the UK contact us and we'll keep you updated with progress.
Yes you certainly can. We are currently busy working with our legacy customers towards their conversion to the new system but will have the new customer demo ready very soon. Just call the office and we'll take some details and register you for access to a demo system once launcheds and where you will see for yourself its great functionality.
Part of your subscription covers the rental of the CloudPlus box and it's the additional functionality it gives you that makes it so much more than cloud-only solutions... why wouldn't you want that?
There is no minimum or maximum term as such but our Ts & Cs do stipulate a 60 day notice period if you were ever wanting to leave... it's as simple as that.
The main PMS data is permanently synchronised across multiple disks in your CloudPlus box AND with our cloud platform so that's always backed up. We then include 50Gb of cloud backup per license for non-PMS data like scanned letters, X-Rays etc. and if you go over your limit then it is chargeable. However you could always archive some of this data if you wanted to or backup manually and take it off-site. Talk to us about the best solution for you but we do always recommend you have a commercial backup (off-site) of some nature in place so you can recover files if you have system crashes or delete by accident... it's best practice to say the least.
The key benefits, besides the great core features and visual functionality, are many, but the main things have to be:
• security is key to mitigate downtime due to Virus & Ransomware attacks
• the near-guranteed 24/7 availability
• data management and analysis at local, regional and group level
• corporate dashboard views showing live data, not just consolidated from overnight uploads
• brand management maintains your professional image, keeping everything consistent
• internal messaging and task setting from and to individual paractices or groups
• the ability to view and update patient data across the group - great for referrals
• the ease of transfer of patients to other practices - aiding retention
